Juicy Dirt, unlike Star Jones, is not a LOY-ah. That being said, however, I got quite the giggle today when I saw a piece on The Smoking Gun today detailing a lawsuit Carol Burnett is bringing against Fox for a depiction of, and commentary about, her.

I’m not sure, but I’m going to hazard a guess that Carol Burnett has never once watched Family Guy, especially since the lawsuit refers to the show as “The Family Guy.” I’m making this guess based on the fact that the show parodies EVERYTHING and EVERYONE who stands still long enough. And parody nine times out of ten constitutes fair use under copyright law.

Not to mention that she is referencing her work that is FORTY YEARS OLD. You’d think she’d be grateful that they even find her relevant enough TO parody. Something tells me she’s just low on funds and looking for an easy way to make money. Mind you, I don’t even really LIKE the show. I just hate stupid lawsuits more.
