The paternity suit brought against actor/comedian Chris Rock by Kali Bowyer has been refiled in New York, and this time, she’s asking for money.
When Bowyer first filed the suit in Georgia, she said all she really wanted was a DNA test and Rock’s medical history; her 13-year-old son has a seizure disorder that doctors are having trouble finding the cause of. Rock did the standard “no comment, no response” defense, and now she refiled closer to Rock’s home and wants money on top of it.
Call me stupid, since, you know, I don’t think like a celebrity, but it seems to me that it would be a lot easier (and cheaper in the long run) to just TAKE the stupid test. If you ARE the parent, you are going to get busted in the long run ANYWAY, and if you AREN’T, then it’s over with quickly without a whole bunch of court costs and bad PR. Duh.
