Bossip found a neat little tidbit from Janet Carlton that claims my least favorite comedian was actually dumped three weeks ago!

Yes, according to Carlton, Eddie Murphy was dumped by Tracey Edmonds THREE WEEKS ago, even before the DNA revealed that the pond scum Norbit star is the father of Scary Spice’s baby.

Apparently, Edmonds found Murphy “too controlling” and mover her stuff out of his place. Heh. I guess what goes around comes around, eh?

… if the court says he has to be.

Eddie Murphy finally gave up the DNA requested to prove he is the father of Scary Spice’s baby after a court ordered him to.

Of course, he promises he’ll stand up and “do the right thing” if the baby is proven to be his.

Gee, color me clueless, but wouldn’t “doing the right thing” be something along the lines of submitting to a DNA test without a court order, not dumping your pregnant girlfriend on TV, and not leaving a legacy of being an ass for this poor baby to read all about when she grows up.

Celebitchy broke the news this morning that former Spice Girl and Eddie Murphy girlfriend Melanie Brown had her baby, a little girl weighing a mere 5 lbs. 4 oz. One can only assume that the stress of having your child’s babydaddy break up with you AND deny paternity on talk shows as well as champagne apparently imbibed when pregnant might have resulted in the baby’s tiny size.

Apparently, Eddie Murphy is one sore loser. After losing out on Best Supporting Actor to Alan Arkin at last night’s Oscars, he bailed on the remainder of the ceremony, leaving before Jennifer Hudson won her Oscar or his co-stars performed the three musical numbers from the movie that were nominated for best song.

I have to admit I was cheering when Arkin won more as a cheer for Murphy losing, but maybe that’s just me. And perhaps he should have considered that released a film like Norbit hot on the heels of his Oscar nomination might impact the Academy votes. Just a thought, you know, in case there ever IS a next time for him. Although I seriously doubt it.
