Simpson Kids

You might have noticed my annoyance with Fred Goldman. Why so much hate? Well, I’ve never seen anyone trying so hard to profit off their kid’s death. He goes in front of the media every chance he gets (unlike Nicole Brown Simpson’s family), sues OJ for cash every chance he gets (unlike Nicole Brown Simpson’s family) and then claims it’s not about the money; it’s about justice.

Further proof that he is just the money-grubbing famewhore that I think he is might lie in the latest development of this never-ending court battle. Nicole’s family is suing for half the profits from the sale of the book rights, which Goldman claims he wants auctioned off so “OJ will suffer watching someone else profit.” Huh? This is allgedly a confession about your son’s murder! How on EARTH would you want to see that in print and then pocket the profits?

A Reminder. Justice Does Not Equal Money.

If I Did It book image

Unless you are Fred Goldman, that is. Good old Fred, who has claimed all along that his family’s civil suit against O.J. Simpson was not about the money, is now apparently shopping around the publishing rights to O.J.’s If I Did It “faux” confession tome.

Fred Goldman Obviously Doesn’t Read Juicy Rumors

TSG reports that Fred Goldman is suing over O.J.’s book-that-wasn’t.

So far, he’s only suing O.J. himself and a corporation he believes O.J. set up to keep his advance from going right to the $38 million judgment he still owes from the civil case, but Mr. Goldman’s lawyers ALSO “anticipate adding Judith Regan, HarperCollins, and the publisher’s parent company, News Corporation,” and most likely any person known to have walked through Los Angeles at the time the deal may or may not have taken place, any rats or other vermin living in Los Angeles, and all pieces of office furniture that O.J. looked at while walking through HarperCollins offices.

Can Someone Please Tell The Goldmans…

… that O.J. will stop getting media attention when they stop getting media attention?

Yes, we all know Judith Regan got canned. And yes, we all know that O.J. probably did it. But when every press stunt O.J. participates in gets multiple comments by the Goldman family, well, then of COURSE people are going to keep reading about it.

The saddest part about the whole thing is that every surviving party in that tragedy spends so much time whoring for media time that most of the American public can’t even remember WHO was killed. Only that O.J. likes camera time and so does Fred Goldman.

And on that note… who on EARTH thinks Kato Kaelin is still media-worthy?
